silence
no
crying
no
motion
frantic
nurses
move
swiftly
incisively
seconds
pass
seconds
which
seem
like
hours
my
heart
sinks
I
can’t
breathe
tears
begin
to
well
up
suddenly
a
tiny
cough

he breaths
he moves
he’s alive
I
give
thanks
to
God
never
imagining
that
18
years
later
our
3rd
child
would
once
again
lay
motionless
silent
but
this
time
there
would
be
no
reviving
him
