E-mail: larry@b-ing.org        Phone: 858-336-2117

"I desire to live life as a God breathed bubble floating freely and lightly upon the gentle currents of the unforced rhythms of God’s grace."

Larry Warner has been married for over 26 years to his wife, Donna, and is the father of four children. He has a varied vocational background, having worked 11 years as a Youth Pastor, 6 years as a Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff, and the past 10 years as the Pastor of a church in San Diego, CA.

He has a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a Masters of Theology. He has been leading retreats since 1980. He has completed a program in Spiritual Formation and Direction at Azusa Pacific University’s Graduate School and a two-year program in Spiritual Direction at University of San Diego.

Larry designs and leads retreats for Abiding in the Vine, is a spiritual director, a supervisor of Spiritual Directors in Orange County and San Diego, and a member of Spiritual Directors International. He is currently working with CFDM (Christian Formation and Direction Ministries) as a teacher and small group leader in San Gabriel and San Diego. He is also an adjunct professor at Bethel Seminary in San Diego.

He is the founder and director of b which journeys with emerging leaders, churches and individuals who yearn for greater intimacy with God by designing and providing spiritual formation experiences which unleash and cultivate holistic development. And is currently co-authoring a book for Zondervan due out in January 2007 which will help people explore and make use of the prayer of imagination.

He takes extended retreats himself at least twice a year, meets with a spiritual director monthly and receives personal supervision for his role as a spiritual director. Larry’s desire is to give others the tools and opportunity to experience a growing and deepening relationship with God and thus become the unique pastor, leader, person God has created them to be.

His favorite places are Big Sur, Grand Tetons and the Beach. He enjoys racquetball, bicycling (in his younger days he rode across the United States), reading, listening to music, watching movies and being alone in quiet places. His favorite color is blue and he is widely known as a connoisseur of hot dogs and chocolate pudding.
